Just a Note...

Good morning stampers,
here's my card for this week's Less Is More: Metallic. I used metallic, glittery brads as embellishments and and golden embossing powder for the thanks-word. I'm not 100% happy with the position of my sentiment... But I do love these STAMPlorations stamps I used! :) The image is from VIGNETTE: Art Deco Border Builder Set and the sentiment is from a set called PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons.

Just a little note before you go: we are introducing 4 new DT members at TIME OUT Challenges today. I hope you'll head on over and check out who those talented ladies are! Have a great day everyone and thanks for popping by.

Addicted to CAS!

Hi friends!
I'm feeling a bit sentimental: today I'm sharing my last DT project for Addicted to Stamps and More. It was not an easy decision to step down from the team but I need to free up some time. After being in ATSM DT for quite a long time (1,5 years I think!) I thought it would be time to let someone else enjoy of creating in this fun, fun team. Thank you so much Kylie and all teamies!

Anyways, the theme at Addicted to Stamps and More this time is CAS: Clean and Simple. My CAS card is inspired by the talented Bev and her card here. Do check out Bev's card -mine is nothing compared to it -it was surprisingly difficult to draw those lines, I have to practice some more! :) The stamps I used are from STAMPlorations: The flower stamp is from VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals
and the sentiment is from PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons. My only embellishment is not ribbon but actually some washi that I first glued on a piece of scrap paper.

I hope you'll now head on over to ATSM challenge blog  for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration. We are glad to have Cathy as our guest designer again... And are also happy to have StampArt Design continuing as our sponsor. Happy crafting!

Gold Rush... And a DT Call Reminder

Hi friends!
When Sandie pointed out there's a Doilies Challenge at Crazy for CAS I knew I had to play along -I love doilies! I decided to use a special one for the challenge... Yep, a golden doily! To make things all golden I heat embossed my sentiment (Chocolate Baroque) and butterflies (Marianne Designs) with gold powder. The card has a lot of dimension and texture, I quite like it!

I'd also want to remind you that that the DT Call at TIME OUT Challenges closes tonight at midnight (GMT). Still about 15 hours to go! :)

Holiday Theme at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Hi guys,
I'm here with my DT card for Addicted to Stamps and More: Holiday. Choose any holiday you wish or even a holiday resort! I chose Christmas and made my first X mas card for 2014 using a stunning image by Mo Manning... I just love her digis! This girl was a joy to color in with Copics. I really love the hair color I came up with and naturally I've already forgotten it... I should keep notes! :) The background paper is a print of "Silent Night, Holy Night" so I decided the card didn't need a greeting... Or truth to be told, I didn't know where to put it! :)

I hope you'll now head on over to our challenge blog for inspiring DT projects and all the challenge details. StampArt Designs continues as our February sponsor offering 5 digis for our Top Addict... Oh and we also have a new guest designer: Cathy. Do visit her too! Happy crafting!

For A Guy!

Hi friends!

Before telling you about today's card let me apologize for not blog hopping too much lately -I was away from home last week and I've been a bit tired after my travels. So if you haven't received any comments from me lately that doesn't mean I've forgotten you! :)

My card today is for Less Is More and CAS on Sunday -both are having a Masculine theme. Cards for men... Always a pain! :) I have many blogging friends who master this sort of "grungy" look -for example SherySandie and Shirley. I'm always into cute images, florals, doilies, lace and such but really adore this look with a more rougher edge and thought I should give it a try. Well, I don't know about the grungyness of this but it sure doesn't look like a card made by me! I used Kaiserkraft background stamps, sentiment stamp from VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows by STAMPlorations, stenciling and some sequins to create my card. I was almost ready to give up with this but after adding the black corners the card started to please my eye more. Thanks for popping by! xx

The sentiment was created with stamps from VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows. My take on the sketch is quite simple -click here for more DT inspiration!

Tic Tac Toe at Inkspirational Challenges!

Hi friends!
We are beginning a new challenge today at Inkspirational Challenges, it's a fun tic tac toe chosen by our DT member Nikki. Blogger is giving me hard time and doesn't let me to upload the photo of the tic tac toe chart here but just click here and you'll see it! I chose "flowers, brads and punches".

My card is inspired by a layout I saw the very very talented Lynn use here. I think this is a beautiful yet quite clean and simple way to use designer paper. Thank you Lynn for the inspiration!

I hope you'll now click on over to our challenge blog, you'll love the DT inspiration you'll find there and the tic tac toe chart is there of course too. After that... Happy crafting!

Make Your Mark at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Time for the Make Your Mark Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! Grab your markers, pencils, or crayons for example... Or gelatos if you want to do what I did! I had some embossed paper I've received from a generous stamping friend and I rubbed green and blue gelatos on it for highlighting the raised areas. Some of the color went to the base too but I think it looks nice so I don't mind!

"Kastejuhlana" is Finnish and means something like "on the celebration of baptism", it doesn't translate very smoothly. In Finland parents usually keep the name of their baby as a secret before it's official by baptism/ non-religious name giving. How about in your country?

StampArt Designs continues as our February sponsor and the only way for you to have a chance to win the prize is to Make Your Mark and play along! Check out all the challenge details and find fabulous DT inspiration in our challenge blog here. Don' forget to say hi to our talented guest designer talented Dawn too. Happy crafting!

Pentagons!

Hi friends!

I'm here to share a quick one layer card for Less is More: Anything  One Layer GoesOne Layer Simplicity: RepetitionThe Card Concept (Monochromatic Pink + CAS)  and for CASology: AND (I've been inspired by the saying round and round we go!). I'm specially happy of how my card qualifies well to the One Layer Simplicity: my design doesn't only repeat pentagons but there's two circles too! :)

Being the happy member of STAMPlorations DT I chose to use stamps by STAMPlorations: PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons and PATCHWWORK FRENZY: Graphic Squares (the sentiment). I used Memento Inks for stamping and once I was happy with the design (I did some practicing first on a scrap paper) the card came together very quickly. No embellies this time, just stamping! I hope you liked my card and thanks for popping by!

Stamps and Stitches at STAMPlorations!

Hi there!

It's time for the February Challenge at STAMPlorations and this month the theme is Stamps and Stitches. There's many ways to incorporate stitches to your project: I chose to use a ribbon with stitches but you could use actual stitching, faux stitching with piercing or with gel pen/marker, stamped stitching...Many fun possibilities! All styles at all stamps are welcome at STAMPlorations -check out the challenge details here. -you'll find very inspiring DT makes there too. There's stamps for crabs so do enter! :)

In my card I've used two STAMPlorations sets: VIGNETTE: Trendy Feathers and VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals. I've colored the images with Copics -I tried to go for a slightly vintagey look thinking about an ink bottle and feather pen. :) My card is very simple because I wanted to draw all the attention to the focal image.

If you haven't played along in STAMPlorations Challenges yet I'll give you one more reason to enter: Every month a prize pack is drawn between those who enter all 3 monthly challenges. In addition to the monthly theme challenge (this month it's the Stamps and Stitches Challenge), we always have 2 sketch challenges too -the first one is already running here. Read all about the draw here and check out the fab prize:

Okey, that's all from me now. I hope to see you joining in the fun at STAMPlorations. Happy crafting!

Rainbow Flower + DT Call Reminder

Hi friends!
Thank you for all the positive feedback I got for my yesterday's card -it wasn't a personal favorite so the comments felt even more special! I have been wanting to try water coloring on kraft and I thought I'd make another card for Less Is More (rainbow) playing with my Inktense pencils and water. There's a reason why I'm a marker girl... I'm afraid of water! It's so unreliable... You get pools of color, too little water, too much water... And the shading -I can't figure it out! Anyways, I try to be merciful to myself because I'm out of my comfort zone. :) The flower stamp is from Stampin Up and it's embossed with white. The Finnish Sentiment meas Happy Valentine's Day but in Finland we call it Friendship Day and that's what it says -Happy Friendship Day.

Before I go I'd like to remind you of the DT Call we are having at TIME OUT Challenges, click here for details. We are looking for couple of more crafters to join us in the fun! Thanks for popping by and have a great day.

Anything Goes at Addicted to Stamps and More

Hi guys!
It's time for the new Adidicted to Stamps and More and our theme is everyone's favorite: Anything Goes! As always, we have a prize for crabs... This time our sponsor is StampArt Designs and they offer 5 digis for the Top Addict. We are also very happy to have a fabulous guest designer, Dawn -she is such an inspiring card maker, I always admire her coloring and fun style.

My DT card is inspired by Less Is More: rainbow colors. Less is More is celebrating it's 3rd birthday this week... Happy Birthday Less is More, you are a fantastic challenge blog! :) I sponged my background with Distress Inks and used masks for creating the different coloured areas. When that was ready I heat embossed flowers with gold embossing powder. The flower stamp is from a Stampin Up set called Secret Garden, it's a beautiful floral set I got as a gift from dear blogging friend Sandie, thanks hun! This was originally supposed to be a one layer but I messed up the central square with inky fingers (hate it when that happens!) and had to add an extra layer for my white space... The sentiment is also heat embossed with gold, it's Finnish and means "for mum".

I hope you'll click on over to Adidicted to Stamps and More now for the rest of the DT makes and all the challenge details! After that... Happy crafting!

New Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Hi there!
It's time for a new sketch at STAMPlorations, you'll find the new challenge here! This sketch has many possibilities and the DT samples are fab -don't forget to check them out! Remember you can use stamps from all companies in our challenge but we of course love to see STAMPlorations stamps. :) The STAMPlorations shop is here if you haven't visited it yet.

In my card I used a leaf stamp and a circle stamp from VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes for creating the flowers and added a sentiment from PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Pentagons. I used a ribbon with retro feel and finished the card off with some bling (I colored clear rhinestones with Copics to match the ribbon). Simple, fast, fun card! Have a great week everyone and I hope to see you at STAMPlorations!

CASEing Yvonne!

Hi friends! We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational Challenges and it's a CASE -your task is to go to the blog of wonderful Yvonne, choose a card and CASE it. If you are new to CASEing, we have instructions in the challenge blog.  Yvonne has several cards with sewing theme in her blog and I was inspired by the card below this text. I used a mannequin doll die cut I've got as a gift from Sandie (thanks hun!) and chose vintage style embellies and papers to go with it. Yvonne's style is vintagy and layered so that was the look I was after. My own twist is that I didn't distress the paper edges by tearing or using distress tool-for some reason I never do this although I do make vintage cards! Maybe I love the papers too much to tear them... Who knows what's the reason! :) Yvonne's post with the details of her card is here, I hope you'll visit her and leave her some love. While you are paying her a visit, choose a card you'll CASE and join us in Inkspirational Challenges!
