Belated Birthday Wishes for Vicki!

Hi guys!
My STAMPlorations teamie Vicki celebrated her birthday last Thursday and we are showing cards we've made for her at STAMPlorations blog today. I hope you had a fun birthday, Vicki! Vicki is a super talented card maker and there's especially two things I always adore in her cards: the layouts and her use of ribbons. This card is my attempt to CASE Vicki and I used two cards as my inspiration: this one and the last card of this post. I hope you like what I made, Vicki! The stamps I used are VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals and VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows (the sentiment). I stamped with Memento Inks and shaded under the jar with a grey copic and a blender pen. I hope you'll head on over to STAMPlorations to see what the other girls made... Do check out the challenges that are running now too! :) Have a fun weekend!

Word Prompt Bloom at Inkspirational

HI there!
Time for yet another Inkspirational Challenge! I can't believe how fast time flies -I think we just started our previous challenge! Anyways, we have a new type of challenge for you, a word prompt. This time the word is "Bloom" -very appropriate for this time of year! In my garden the tulips (all 10 of them!) are finally opening up now -the most annoying thing about living in Northern Finland is the late spring... Well actually, our winter can get pretty annoying too. :)

Anyways, to my card: I've used some fun fun fun stamps from Avocado Arts. These images are very cute, I love the naive style. This card was a coloring disaster: my Copics are in a desperate need of a re-fill! I hope I have money to do that later in the summer. I tried to rescue he uneven blending with Stickels and Glossy so this card has quite a lot going on... I hated it at first but it's growing on me!

Some challenges helped me to create this card: the sketch is from CASE this Sketch. The theme and color inspiration come from Iron Craft Challenge  Inspiration Collages 1: Memories and 3: Difficult Colors -yep, plenty of orange does get difficult! :) I'm also entering CASology: Flower. Thanks for popping by and have a great weekend! I hope you'll now head on over to Inkspirational challenge blog: there's plenty of blooming inspiration from the DT and our talented guest designer Julie.

Photo Inspiration at Time Out Challenges!

Hi guys!
We have a new theme for you at TIME OUT Challenges! It's our Home Sweet Home Photo Inspiration Challenge -images inspired by interior design. The patio photo you see above is full of details to be inspired by: Moroccan style, rich colors, squares, stripes, curtains... Or even summer or outdoors! If you need ideas head on over to the challenge blog: the TIME OUT design team along with our talented, artistic guest designer Christine has made fabulous cards for your inspiration. Welcome to TIME OUT, Christine!

In my card I've used stamps from Background Builders: Squared by Uniko Studio and some beautiful Papermania papers. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. I was inspired by the lilac colored square seats and cushions in our photo. My card follows the color scheme of Uniko Studio Challenge 10: Thinking of You. Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you taking TIME OUT and joining our challenge!

New Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Hi friends!
We have a new sketch challenge for you at STAMPlorations, here! It's a very versatile sketch and I chose to make a rather CAS version with plain stamping and no embellies. I tried to add embellishments -sequins, pearls, a button, a flower, twine, you name it -but didn't like any of them! This one will be very easy to mail if nothing else. :) The stamps I've used come from SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Happy and VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows. The always inspiring STAMPlorations Design Team has fab samples for you and I hope you check them out from the challenge post. We also have a talented guest designer, Debbie: she has created the most fun graduation card, do not miss it! Have a good week everyone and see you at STAMPlorations!

ps. If you played along in two other May challenges (the monthly challenge is still running!) , don't miss this one -you could win the May prize package!

Sandie is a CAS-loving lady and I've made her a 2nd birthday card in ultimate CAS style using stamps by STAMPlorations: The flower comes from VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals, the leaf is from VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes and the sentiment is from another VIGNETTE set, Chevron and Arrows. I'm going to meet Sandie IRL in 10 days and she will get this card with a little belated pressie! We have some special festivities for Sandie at STAMPlorations blog... So I hope you'll head on over there now!

Masculine Thank You Card

Hi friends!
Here's my card for the current Less Is More Challenge: One Layer Thank You. I'm happy that I had time to join in the fun after a couple of weeks of break! The theme was perfect for me -I needed a thank you card for one of my brother-in laws. Being a tailor he is very handy with the sewing machine... And he recently altered a second-hand dress for me. The dress is perfect now so obviously a cool card was needed! I used Background Builders: Squared by Uniko Studio for stamping the pattern. I did a test run free hand but that didn't work -I needed to draw in some pencil lines so it was easier to line up the squares. Luckily a rubber is invented! :) That's all from me for now. Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Inspired by words at TIME OUT

Hi friends!
Two months have gone by and we've completed our first challenge rota at  TIME OUT Challenges. It's been super fun to visit everyone's blogs and we are very grateful for how many of you have wanted to play along! Now it's time for our Inspired by Words- challenge again and the phrase is

Time Flies, Love Lasts

If your mojo needs a little push there's fab DT cards in the challenge blog for your inspiration. Karen from Made by Meadie is joining us as a guest designer -I hope you'll visit her blog too and leave her some love -she is a very talented card maker with a beautiful style. Welcome to TIME OUT, Karen!

I chose to make a sympathy card for someone who has lost a loved one... We are not here forever as we unfortunately know and the inspiration phrase along with the Tim Holtzt stamp I chose to work with guided my thoughts to this direction. I started by applying 3 shades of Distress Inks to a piece of card creating a sunset look and then stamped the image with black Versafine. As you see there are birds flying and a clock in the image -those link to our inspiration phrase. Many ways to interpret the words! :) I loved the stamped panel and went with a CAS look to give it the center stage.

I hope to see you playing along at TIME OUT Challenges! We are inspired by words for a fortnight so you'll have plenty of time to take time out and join us. ;) Happy crafting!

STAMPlorations Stamp Release Blog Hop

So glad you can join us in the STAMPlorations Stamp Release Blog Hop! The other STAMPlorations girls and I are sharing projects we've created that feature the 5 sets released this month. Visit all the stops on the hop and leave a comment for a chance to win 1 of the new stamp sets!

FIVE (5) lucky hoppers randomly drawn from the designers' blogs will each win a stamp set and TWO (2) lucky hoppers randomly drawn from the STAMPlorations blog will win a stamp set of their choice. You have until Sunday, May 11, 11:55 p.m. PDT to comment here and on my fellow designers' posts for a chance to win. Winners will be announced on the STAMPlorations blog on Monday, May 12.

Here's my blog hop project using two of the new stamp sets: VIGNETTE Floral Strips and SUBWAY ART BUILDERS: Dare. It's possible to stamp complete flowers with the floral strip stamp that I used so I made small "tiles" with it. I quite like how that turned out! I used a marker to add some color and framed my tiles with black card.

Now it's time to visit the other stops of the blog hop and enjoy from the creativity of STAMPloratios DT members! Here are the stops of the blog hop:

Nonni | Sandie | Shery | Shirley | Vicki

Remember to comment for a change to win! Happy hopping!

New Sketch Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Time for a new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations! Once again I've been a disobedient DT member and changed the placement of the sentiment slightly... But I did not want to cover up the pattern I stamped with VIGNETTE: Grunge Floral Strips (one of the new sets to be released now in May) and PATCHWORK FRENZY: Graphic Squares. I used Black Versafine for stamping because I just love the "blackness" of it -you need to remember to give it some time to dry though. My sentiment is from another set released in May, SUBWAY ART BUILDERS: Dare. We are celebrating the new stamp sets with a May Release Blog Hop beginning on Wednesday. Follow STAMPlorations blog so you won't miss it! All the challenge details can be found in our blog too... Along with lots of inspirational DT cards! The guest designer of this sketch challenge is Mynnette - a very talented card maker and challenge blog owner. Welcome to STAMPlorations, Mynnette!

Before I go I'll remind you of the twist in our challenges: if you play along in all 3 STAMPlorations challenges in May you'll have a change to win this prize pack:

All the 3 individual challenges have prizes too! Woo hoo! I hope to see you playing along at STAMPlorations

Flower Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Hi friends!
The May Challenge at STAMPlorations is "Stamps and Flowers". Those of you who visit my blog often know this was an easy peasy for me: I LOVE flower stamps! I decided to make something new and remembered a dress template I've got for free with a crafting magazine -there's many templates available for free online too. It was very fun to stamp "the fabrics" and embellish the dress with some ribbons and a flower. The STAMPlorations design team has made stunning samples for your inspiration so do check them out. We also have a talented guest designer Sue joining us this month. Welcome to STAMPlorations, Sue! :)

The stamps I used in my project are VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows, VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals, and SUBWAY ART BUILDERS: Dare. The Dare set (along with 4 other new sets) is released in May and we are actually celebrating the release with a small blog hop next week -follow STAMPlorations Blog so you won't miss it!

As every month, there are 3 challenges at STAMPlorations in May. If you play along in all three you won't only have a chance for the prizes in every challenge but a chance to win the monthly prize pack too... In May it looks right this:

Great prize, right? For all the details, visit STAMPlorations. I hope to see you playing along in our challenge. Happy crafting!
