"Sprinkle" at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I hope to see you all joining our new challenge at Inkspirational! It's a word prompt: Sprinkle. My take on the challenge is very literal: I sprinkled some sequins on top of my heat embossed, stenciled leaf. The stencil is by Simon Says Stamp. The embossing powder I used is Copper Regular by WOW. It has a beautiful, metallic shine to it.

As always the Ink DT ladies have made very inspirational cards for you to admire. I hope you'll check them out. This time our guest designer is Stempelomis. Play along and you could guest design too. Happy crafting!

STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge Reminder

Hi friends!
There's still time to play at Sketch Challenge #28 at STAMPlorations for about a week! I hope to see you joining us. :)

In my reminder card I've used ARTplorations stencil Shutters and one of my fave STAMPlorations sets: Hashtag Authentic. I sponged the stencil design to a masked area (first with darker ink with the stencil on place, then without the stencil with ligher ink but with masks still in place) and after that was done I run the card through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder that gives a sort of fabric look. The sentiment is heat embossed with white powder on vellum. Hope you like!

Rock Around the Clock at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges.
We are

Inspired by Words

"Rock Around the Clock"

You can be inspired by the whole phrase or choose just one words/some words for your starting point.

Our guest designer this time is Hazel from Hazel's Paper Designs and I just love her fun wine-themed CAS card. Don't forget to check out her project and all the other inspirational DT cards!

My card is a very CAS one layer I made for the lovely Sandie. She likes purple and I do think she was happy with her card! I used some clock-themed stamps I borrowed from another crafty friend, Milla, along with butterfly- and sentiment-stamps from Trendy Butterflies by STAMPlorations. Hope you like!

I'm looking forward seeing your interpretations of "Rock Around the Clock "!

New Challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards!

Hi friends! We have a new challenge for you at One Layer Christmas Cards here. We are a fortnightly challenge and as long as your X mas card is one layer you may enter! However, if you choose the optional twist you get to join the monthly prize drawing. All the details are in the challenge post!

This time the twist is "Bells" and I decided to use my STAMPlorations Christmas Bells stamp as the star of my card. The background is made by tapping different shades of Distress Inks with wrinkled tissue paper. That worked out quite nicely. Other than that my card is super simple, I've just stamped my image and sentiment and that's it! :) Some white gel pen in the berries.

I hope you'll play along! Don't forget to check out the challenge post for more DT inspiration!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
Happy Valentine's Day! In Finland this day is not only for lovers but for friends too... So the theme of this card is most suitable for today!

We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational: a photo inspiration with such beautiful image. You could go for Japanese theme, the colors, flowers... You name it!  Our guest designer this time is Darnell: I hope you are familiar with her amazingly entertaining blog full of inspiration and even challenges! I hope you'll pop by at Darnell's and leave her some love. The Inkspirational DT is also showing their best work as always... So don't forget to check out the challenge blog!

I chose to use some Japanese style stamps I have for this card. I've heat embossed the image and sentiment with white powder. The embossing folder tries to mimic the look of the flowery branches although it is something completely different. :) I went really CAS with this one and stuck with monochrome color scheme. Hope you like and see you at Inkspirational!

I stenciled the hearts background using different shades of red inks. The flower is heat embossed with white powder on pink card and the darker red card is actually the same pink card but sponged with my darkest red ink: I wanted a perfect color match and didn't have matching card! Quite fun with an all red card! Hope you like and see you at STAMPlorations!

CASEing Kylie at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges: we are CASEing (with your own twist) the fabulous Kylie. Kylie is known from several blogs: her own blog Kylie is Addicted to Stamps and More and her challenge blogs Addicted to CAS, Addicted to Stamps and More and Happy Stampers. Kylie also designs watermarks and blog headers -she did mine! :) I'd love you to head on over to TIME OUT blog and have a look how our DT members and GD Sarah from Sazzle Dazzle Crafts CASEd Kylie and what kind of own twists they used!

I decided to make a floral card like Kylie but left my stamps in peace... I created this with a new ARTPlorations stencil called Bold Florals, available at STAMPlorations store here. I used mini ink blending tool and some memento inks for sponging the flowers. I wanted to bring dry embossing to my card to follow Kylie's design and used a die as embossing "plate" with my Cuttlebug. That worked really nicely, I love the texture and yet the card is not very bulky. The sentiment strip covers the line between sponging and embossing making the card look nice and tidy. :) Hope you like and hope to see you taking TIME OUT and CASEing Kylie!

New Challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at One Layer Christmas Cards! Click here for all the challenge details and inspirational DT projects! We continue with our Anything One Layer Christmas Goes... But this time the optional twist is gold. If you choose to twist you have a chance to win prizes so don't hesitate in digging out your gold supplies! :)

My DT card is sort of vintagey. I sponged 4 shades of brown DI:s to my card base and gave it a spritz of water for extra distressing. After that was dry I heat embossed the Christmassy Stampendous stamp with gold powder and was satisfied with the card -I think it didn't need a sentiment or anything. What do you think, too plain or all right? :) Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at One Layer Christmas Cards! Click here!

New Sketch at STAMPlorations!

Hi guys!
It's time for the first sketch challenge of February at STAMPlorations and we have many new, cool changes and news! We have several new ladies joining STAMPlorations Challenge Design Team and you'll love their inspirational work so don't hesitate to head on over to the challenge blog and find out who the new girls are and what they've made as their first project! Also, we nowadays always have several guest designers joining us and this time they are

Congrats ladies and great to have you guest designing at STAMPlorations!

For all the prize info and DT projects, click here.

In my card I've used the fun VIGNETTE: Eat, Drink Be Merry set and one of the new stencils now available at STAMPlorations called Bubbles. My image panel is made with sponging DI:s and the coffee image and sentiment are heat embossed with copper embossing powder. I used the stencil by rubbing some Walnut Stain DI to it, gave it a spritz of water and "stamped". I've also heat embossed a paper strip with the same embossing powder to follow the sketch. Hope you like and I hope to see you playing along at STAMPlorations!

January Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Hi friends!
During Christmas hols I had time to browse blogs all over blogland: something I haven't done much before the hols or after either... If you wonder why you don't receive comments from me lately it's due to lack of time and lack of energy -so much to do, so little time! Anyways, I found a blog called Society of Stampaholics where blog owner Deborah organizes Card Chain Challenges: after signing up and making your card you actually SEND it to another participant and also receive one yourself. A very nice, a little bit different challenge. I believe Deborah is revealing all the cards sent and received in her blog today so maybe you'll want to head on over and see what everyone made!

My card is a simple tag card. The color palette is chosen from the challenge. I used a stencil for water stamping the bg (the tag was first sponged with DI:s) and colored the Altenew flower with Copics. The swirl and the sentiment come from the same stamp set.

Thanks Deborah for this cool challenge! Have a nice day everyone and see you later today with a new DT card for STAMPlorations.
