Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT, click here for a direct link to the challenge post!
We are inspired by this beautiful photo:
There's many options where to go from here: black and white color palette, silhouettes, script/typing, travel theme... Countless ideas come to mind, right!
Our guest designer this time is Cornelia and I just love the card she made. The regular TO members have fab inspiration for you too, don't forget to check out their cards!
In my card I used a My Favorite Things stamp set that I "absolutely had to get" and then I have very hard time using it... I've only made one card wit this set before, that one I hated, this one I like a bit better but I still think it's somehow a tricky set to use!
I stamped the solid bg:s for flowers with black ink and heat embossed the outlines with white powder. It looked nice but very "hard" somehow so I covered the entire piece with vellum for a softer look. I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum. Hope you like and see you at TIME OUT Challenges!
The vellum is absolutely fabulous! So gorgeous!
ReplyDeletewell you may have had a hard time using this set but it worked out perfectly. Using the vellum was a good idea if you felt it was a bit hard x
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely - how did you stick down the vellum? Jo x
ReplyDeletePerfectly CAS - the vellum looks great! Thanks for having me as GDT, Nonni!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful card and so very elegant!
ReplyDeleteCan't see on your card that you struggled to use this set; it looks so pretty! Love the vellum; it gives dimension and extra coloour! Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo elegant and chic, Nonni ... the soft look from the vellum overlay is just lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty Nonni! I love those black flowers and how you softened them up with the vellum!
ReplyDeleteI love this one Nonni! What a creative use of vellum to soften the design and to add a bold sentiment.
ReplyDelete- Shauna
Your card is gorgeous, and does not look like you struggled at all. Love how the vellum softens everything up.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Nonni! I love those graphic flowers (I might have to buy that set too!) and how you softened them with the vellum - the white embossed greeting is perfect! Love it!
