New Sketch at STAMPlorations

Hi everyone! We have a new sketch challenge for you at STAMPlorations! Click here for the challenge post with amazing inspiration from STAMPlorations Design Team along with our guest designer Carol. Carol created a fun card with the celebration-themed STAMPlorations stamps -you don't want to miss it in her entertaining blog Just Me: c! As you can see from the DT projects, the sketch is very versatile... I can't wait to see what you all create with it!

In my DT card I used the brand new sunflower stamp from the Bloom Sketches stamp set. The set has just been released and it's full of gorgeous blooms and fun sentiments. Before stamping I stenciled all my card pieces lightly with a brick wall stencil (if you are looking for stencils, check out the selection at STAMPlorations store here ). I did my stamping with two inks: first with orange and then with black. I was not very precise with the black ink and did not press the stamp down too hard  -this left some orange peeking through and I got myself two-toned flowers! I sponged the edges with DIs and tried to go for a sort of vintage look. I can't remember when I've done this many layers in a card!

Don't forget that if you've participated in the first sketch challenge of August, enter this current sketch challenge along with our monthly challenge here you have a chance to win an extra prize (photo below). All our challenges have prizes and possibilities to win guest designer spots so let me encourage you to join in the fun at STAMPlorations! Thanks for popping by, happy crafting!

  4. Nonni I love this double stamping idea, it really does give a great vintage feel to this card. I wouldn't have spotted the brick stencil but on closer examination can now see it, this obviously must help with the vintage feel but in a very subtle way that we don't notice it..very creative hon x
