Happy Birthday Shery!

Hi!
If you've come here from STAMPlorations blog then you know what this post is about: STAMPlorations design team is celebrating the birthday of our wonderful leader Shery, the owner and designer of STAMPlorations. We've all made cards for her and are also sharing thoughts about our favorite STAMPlorations stamps + our favorite literature! Shery is not only a stamp designer but does writing too so we thought she might want to hear what we like to read. :)

I've created my card with stamps from two latest releases: Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments  and VIGNETTE:It's Your Day. The size of the Boxed Blooms flowers is a perfect match with the VIGNETTE sentiment block! I colored the flowers in with Copics and for me this didn't need anything else. I hope you like your card, Shery!

So, what's my favorite STAMPlorations stamp?
My favorite set has for a long time been Chevron and Arrows: I love stamping backgrounds with it and it's great for masculine cards too. However, Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments is becoming a new favorite: I love coloring in the flowers of this set and the font of the sentiments is just so COOL!

How about my taste for literature... I must confess that lately I've been mainly reading Craft Stamper and (slightly boring...) books related to my profession but I love books by John Irving, Paul Auster, Siri Hustvedt and Donna Tart for example. I actually just found out they've translated Donna Tart's latest to Finnish -I must get that to my hands! :)

I'll end my post by telling Shery that she is an awesome, awesome girl! One of the greatest things that has happened to me in blogland has been to get to know her. I'm very proud to be in STAMPlorations design team and happy to be friends with this talented, creative, artistic girl. Happy Birthday Shery, I wish you a wonderful day!

  13. Nonni, I adore this card! You are AMAZING with those Copics! I would love to be a fly on your wall so I can see you coloring in action! Thanks so much for this wonderful surprise! I'm so blessed to have met you on blog land...and at a time when I needed someone to believe in me! (You know all about it!) It was perfect timing, and beyond our little stamp company, you'll always be a special, special friend I hold dear to my heart! One of my life goals: to one day meet you and give you a big hug on my tippy toes...'cause you're so tall! LOL!

  16. Nonni, I'm in a complete swoon over this stunning card! Your copic colouring is nothing short of fabulous and you're right: this card is perfect as is! I am sooooo adding this floral set to my wish list! The possibilities....Love this, as I know Shery does! Your author choices: interesting! My reading tends towards mysteries (Louise Penny is a fabourite; I love her Inspector Gamache hero and the Three Pines setting), although I do have The Painted Girls, The Girl in Hyacinth Blue and a couple others on my summer reading list. Now, to sit down and read...
