Make Your Own Background At Tuesday Throwdown

Huomenta!
Tiistai tuo mukanaan uuden Tuesday Throwdown haasteen, jossa onkin nyt ihan minun suosikki-aihe: "Tee oma tausta"! Sponsorina tällä viikolla on The Twinery ja olenkin käyttänyt heidän leipurinnyöriään CAS-korttini taustan tekoon. Vähän hiomista vaatii tämä keksintö, mutta näin tein tällä kertaa: leikattuani valkoiseen kartonkiin ympyrän laitoin vahvaa kaksipuoleista teippiä ympyrän reunoille kartongin taustapuolelle ja pingotin kahta eriväristä leipurinnyöriä ympyrän yli vuorotellen. Liimasin tämän ympyräkartongin toisen kartongin päälle jotta sain taustan piiloon -koska reunat näyttivät yhä törstöisiltä, tein reunapalat kellertävästä kartongista. Tämän koko komeuden kiinnitin sitten korttipohjaan. Ensi kerralla haluan tehdä vähän toisin, jotta saan yhden kerroksen vähemmän! Kukka on ilmais-digi, väritetty Copiceilla. Sitten ei muuta kuin käyhän haasteblogissa kurkkaamassa muut DT-työt ja taustan tekoon! :)

Good morning!
It's Tuesday Throwdown time and we have a fun challenge for you this week: Make your own background! Our sponsor this week is The Twinery and I've used their wonderful twine for creating my CAS background. It took some time so it's not simple in that way but I think the look is quite CAS with lots of white space and simple layout. I made up "the concept" by myself and since this was the first time I still need to work on the technique. This is however what I did this time:

I cut a circle out of my top layer of cardstock. On the back of that, around the circle, I put strong 2-sided adhesive and started to attach my pieces of twine to the adhesive, trying to get them straight and tight. After my whole circle was covered I glued this cardstock to another for hiding all the mess. The edges were still "grinning" a bit so I made them neat with some yellow paper, scored from the middle. Now it was time to attach the whole thing to a cardbase.

The daisy is a free digi from somewhere (sorry, I don't remember anymore from where!) and I've colored it with Copics. That's pretty much all there is to tell you about my card so I hope you head on over to the challenge blog for challenge details and more DT inspiration -it's amazing how versatile twine is! Happy crafting!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
