Mikä Nainen! / What A Lady!


Moi kaverit!
Tässä eilen tekemäni kortti ystävälle. Leimasin on minusta aivan ihana, se oli Craft Stamper- lehden kylkiäinen, leimasimen valmistaja on Rogue Redhead Designs. Lehdestä sain myös idean paper piecing- tekniikan käyttöön leimasimen kanssa. Käsittelin kuviopaperi-osien reunat mustalla musteella, mielestäni tuntuvat siten "kuuluvan" leimakuvaan paremmn. Luonnos on CAS Colours and Sketches haasteesta ja suurin kunnia kortin innoituksesta kuuluu heidän DT-jäsenelleen Karenille, jonka kortista (hänen luvallaan!) nyysin paperisuikaleen muodon ja tekstin asettelun. :) Mukavaa viikonloppua sinulle ja kiitos kun käväisit -isosti tervetuloa myös uusille lukijoilleni ja kiiiitos, kun jaksatte kommentoida korttejani, se on ihanaa! :)

Here is a Valentine's Day card I made yesterday. I love this Rogue Redhead Designs stamp that came with the Craft Stamper Magazine -the idea for paper piecing is also from the mag. I stained the edges of my paper pieces with black ink -I think it makes them "belong" to the stamped image better. My sketch is from CAS Colours and Sketches. All the DT cards were beautiful but I was really inspired on Karen's positioning of the text and the way she shaped her paper strip. I asked her if I could CASE her card... and luckily she agreed. :)  The black rhinestones should (according to the sketch) be right in the middle of the card but for some reason I just had to place them more right... Sorry! I'm a bad stamper. :) Have a nice weekend and thank you for popping by. Also a big warm welcome to my new readers and thank you so much for leaving lovely comments for me!

    Lovely card, what a gorgeous sentiment!

    You asked a question about copics... I'm quite new to using them and didn't realise there were fine tips available! I had fine tips for my promarkers and used those a lot, but I'm managing with the copics just using a very light touch when I need a fine line. Hugs, Lisa x
