Photo Inspiration at Time Out!

Hi guys!
I'm loving our new Home Sweet Home inspiration photo at TIME OUT Challenges and I hope you'll like it too and play along! This is a very special challenge: it's the first time all our new DT members are joining us! TIME OUT design team now has 12 members... And the inspiration is amazing if you ask me. Don't forget to check the DT cards and visit everyone! Our guest designer this week is Christine with a fun CAS card, she really captured the essence of this photo I think! Welcome to TIME OUT Christine.

My starting points for this card were wood, using sentiments as a focal point and using jute string. The photo led me to a rustic direction and I ended up not being totally CAS this time (CAS seems to have abandoned me lately!!). I had one of my colleagues in mind all the time when making this card -I think this will be a great card to give "just because". I hope she will like it. The sentiment stamps are from STAMPlorations  and the background stamp is from Kaiserkraft. I heat embossed it with clear powder and sponged over with DT Pumice Stone. The sentiments are simply stamped, not embossed this time... And the doily, string and pearls give this the feminine rustic look I was after. I hope! :) Have a great day everyone and thanks for popping by. I'd love to see you playing along at TIME OUT!

  1. I think this is the perfect card for a 'just because' card and they are always a joy to receive. I am loving the background and I have the stamp but un used! The doily is so perfect and I am loving your new or should I say...re visited style, it shows how creative you are being able to swap between styles x

  5. Love the rustic feel of your card, I thought you had used design paper for the background, I didn't realise it was stamped. Thank you for your kind words, I loved taking part! Cx

  12. Thats the string I was needing for my card!! This is fantastic and really love the background effect you made..its looks like pattern paper! And I really like the little hearts that go around the edge of the doily, gives a real prettiness to the card. So fabulous to be part of the Team!!
