CAS at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
I haven't made DT cards lately due to work issues but I'm popping by to share a quick card that works as a DT card for the current TIME OUT Challenges: 

CAS with optional twist of Black and white with a splash of one colour

My card is very simple: just a big Stampendous flower colored in with Copic's, matted on kraft card and attached to a card base. Marika gave me the idea for how to color this flower: this was my first attempt on this kind of coloring and the blending is definitely not perfect but I'm happy with some of the petals. :) Äidille is Finnish for "For Mum".

She Art at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

We have a new, very interesting challenge for you at Inkspirational: She Art. Here's some more info about the challenge:

"If you’re not familiar with She Art it’s worth doing a Google Image search – some fabulous artwork out there. However, as we want to encourage people with different styles, we welcome a wide interpretation of the theme -  maybe an element of She Art eg. an uplifting sentiment or mixed media background  or just any female image in your design. "

In my card I've used a die-cut silhouette of a girl I've once won from some challenge. I've made it a bit more interesting with heat embossing STAMPlorations Distressed Floral Swirls onto it. The sentiment is from a set called TYPOGRAFIA: Encouragement. The bg is simply sponged with some distress inks. Hope you like! 

For Mum

Hi friends!

Here's a CAS card I made using a rose stamp from a new STAMPlorations set Blossom Overture and a Finnsih sentiment stamp "for mum". The flower is colored with Copics and the sentiment is heat embossed with white powder. I added some wink of stella to the leaves of the flower but the camera didn't catch it. I hope you like!

Altenew Flower with Copics

Hi guys!

My good crafty friend Marika was here on Monday and shared me some of her coloring wisdom with colored pencils. It was great fun to color in with someone and I learned a lot from Marika who is super super talented. If you don't know her blog, click here. Marika hinted me of Altenew Monthly Challenges and this card is my entry for the March Challenge. I don't have colored pencils in my own stash so this flower is colored in with my beloved Copics... How I've missed them! I realized I haven't colored in since Christmas Holidays... Now that I'm on my "time out" from my DT:s because of work I think when I'll get to craft... Coloring in is what I'll do! :)

I was inspired by two of the photos in Altenew March Challenge:

This photo inspired me to use this floral image and helped me to choose colors

And this photo gave me the idea to use my embossing folder with "ornament background"

TIME OUT Challenges, a challenge blog that me and Sandie started one year ago celebrates it first Anniversary! Yippee! We have been so happy of the amount of followers we've got and enjoy the challenge entries every time. Thank you everyone for your support and I hope to see you continuing to play along!

The challenge this time is to make a crafty project inspired by the photo you see above. I scored lines to my card base to mimic the wall behind the frames... And the bits and bobs I used represent the frames. The colors are also taken from the photo. I used a fun STAMPlorations set A Girl And Her Shoes in creating my card. The die cut bubbles I've got as a gift from my dear Sandie. I'm very grateful for having a supportive friend like her and I really enjoy running this challenge blog with her. So Happy TIME OUT Birthday especially for you, Sandie! I'm going to have a very busy period at work in March and April and will most likely not be making any DT cards and the blog will quieten down a lot... But I'll be back in May! :) I hope you like my card and please join the birthday celebrations at TIME OUT Challenges!

Super guest designers, I'm sure you agree and the extra fun part for me this time is that Sandie and Milla are both my friends IRL also: I'll meet Sandie next time in June and me and Milla don't live very far from each other and see ourselves every now and then. Gotta love crafty friends! :) 

Before going to the details of my card I have a small announcement: this will be my last DT post for STAMPlorations for March/April. I have to take a small brake from DT "work" because of real work but will be back in May filled with crafty energy I'm sure! I'll see you then again!

February Card Chain Challenge

Hi friends!

This card is my entry to the Card Chain Challenge. It is my second time playing along and I was not a good participant this time: I know I sent my card too late and today is the reveal day and my card can't be in it's destination yet -I have very little faith to Mr. Postie right now, he has misbehaved lately!! So my apologies to Kristina who will get this card hopefully tomorrow or the day after that. I received a wonderful, wonderful card from Jo. I really loved it. Jo makes fantastic cards -please visit her blog for admiring her work. 

I chose the colors of the February CCC Challenge as my starting point and then played with my Cuttlebug when making this card. The feather die is a magazine freebie and the embossing folder is by Spellbinders. The sentiment is heat embossed with white powder on vellum and it comes from STAMPlorations:
