One more card with lawn Fawn Stamps

Hi friends!
I have one final snow globe card with Lawn Fawn stamps. This is not a shaker like the ones I made before but I do love this set this way too. I've used Copics for coloring in my row of houses and the sky is made with 3 shades of Distress Inks and Stickles glitter glue. I think the sky is very pretty, I hope you like it too!

More Holiday Shaker Cards :)

Hi friends!
As I mentioned yesterday, I have made more shaker cards... And here they are. :) I quite like the color palette in these, the turquoise looks lovely although it's not really a Christmas color is it. The stamp/die set is the same as in yesterday's cards: Ready, Set, Snow by Lawn Fawn. Love, love, love it. :) Hope you like!

I'd like to enter:

CASology: Merry (my first card)

Without Words: Feeling Festive (my coloring is with Copics)

Christmas is just around corner now! Woo hoo! :) Thanks for popping by. :)

Holiday Shaker Cards

Hi guys!
I'm here to share shaker cards I've done with the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow-stamp set and dies. I also used critters form Critters in the Arctic-set. I'm completely in love with these both sets. :) I've colored my images with Copics and used some Stickels to add shine to the base of the snow globe. I hope you like these, I must say I adore them myself and almost couldn't bare sending them! I just wanted to keep on shaking. :) I actually made two more of these, I hope to share them tomorrow.

I'd like to enter the current Lawnscaping challenge: Merry Christmas along with the current CASology: Toy. I think these are still pretty CAS because there's only one focal point -the shaker- and all the rest is white space. Or? Let me know what you think! Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at TIME OUT Challenges!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you over at TIME OUT Challenges. It's a gorgeous photo inspiration -see the pic above. I was inspired by the Christmassy colors and the dots -I added white dots with gel pen to my stamped images (stamps by SSS). I adhered the stamped panel to a card base that I had covered with cute holly-themed patterned paper. Very simple and flat too, easy to mail! :)

I'd love to see you joining us at TIME OUT. Do visit our DT members and also our talented guest designer Sonja, her card for this challenge is absolutely stunning! Happy crafting everyone.. Take some TIME OUT and make those last-minute Christmas cards! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi guys!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational! It's a Word Prompt: Flake. I'm in a serious need of quick Christmas cards so I ended up making 3 simple cards using the same snow flake die. I had to take the photos in unnatural light, sorry for the poor quality. I think my favorite is the one with ombre paper, vellum and sequins. :) I also love this large Finnish Christmas sentiment stamp year after year.

I'm sure you'll want to join us -don't forget to check out all the DT cards from the challenge blog if you want more flake-inspiration! Our guest designer this time is the talented Jane, welcome Jane! Play along and you could join us too. :) Happy crafting!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges! We are inspired by these words:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

You can be inspired by the whole sentiment or choose just one word/some words for your starting point.

I needed to make a card for a newborn baby (or more rightly to her parents!) and wanted to somehow incorporate this into my DT card... And this is what I came up with. :) I was inspired by snowflakes -or maybe more just snow, the flakes in the image are more like snowballs! I colored the cute teddy and sky with Copics and added Wink of Stella to the bg -for once you can actually see the shimmer since I took the photo in unnatural light. Winter has come to Finland... No more taking photos in daylight -I always work then! Luckily the photos turn out quite decent with the light that I'm using. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. I added a strip of glitter card and some wooden hearts as embellies to this card.I hope you like and please join us at TIME OUT! Our DT and talented guest designer Ashwini have made amazing projects for your inspiration. Do not miss them, click here

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Welcome to a Photo Inkspiration challenge at Inkspirational!
Our guest designer Asha and our regular DT members have created wonderful inspiration for you... Please click here to have a look!

My simple card is created with dies. The deer die is a craft mag freebie and the stitched border is from SSS. I also used some blue ombre paper and stamped my Finnish Christmas greeting with Walnut Stain DI. There's quite a lot of dimension in the card: the deer is popped up with 3d glue dots and her horns (is it horns in English?!?) are partly glued down and partly "curled up". I hope you like and please join us at Inkspirational!

TIME OUT Reminder!

Hi friends!
If you haven't joined our current challenge at TIME OUT Challenges you still have about one week to join us! We are CASEing a beautiful CAS card by Karen... This is how it looks like:

Beautiful, right! I decided I wanted to go less CAS and came up with this:

I chose a Hero Arts stamp that could be a stencil (or it reminded me of a stencil!) and stamped it with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with white powder twice: once on white card and once on green card, following Karen's color palette. I then "matched" the pattern when putting my card together. Kiitos means Thank You in Finnish. I recently moved house and a lady next door has been really welcoming and helpful -I think I'll buy her some chocolate and attach this simple card to her gift!

I'd really like to see your take on Karen's awesome design at TIME OUT. Please join us!

I Dig You!

Hi friends!
You haven't seen any posts from me for a while... I recently moved house and things have just in general been a bit crazy. Anyway, now I thought I'd post this card I made already a while ago with the  super cute MFT stamps. I made it for a special guy in my life (he loves to gather mushrooms and makes yummy food out of them too!) so this seemed like a good stamp choice for his card. I was very happy that he did like it too. :) I've done my coloring with Copics and added some white gel pen for detailing. There's a strip of woodgrain paper on the left edge of the card and the gnome panel is popped up with fun foam. No embellies... It did go to a man! :) Hope you like. Have a fun week!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational, chosen by our lovely DT member Carol: Cute Halloween/Pumpkins or Owls.

The DT has done amazing job as always in providing you inspiration -don't miss the cards in our challenge blog! Our guest designer this time is the super creative Becca. The colorful card she made for us is so fun, thanks for guest designing, Becca!

In my card I used a pumpkin stamp from Avocado Arts. It's quite small so I decided to stamp it several times on a tag I die cut with my Cuttlebug. The image is colored with Copics. I'm not exactly loving the color palette of my card -not very cute but rather masculine... But this is how it turned out. Oh well! :)

I hope to see you playing along at  Inkspirational!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges and it is a fantastic photo inspiration:

Spray paint dollar store glass candle sticks black and add pumpkins for Halloween decoration

So many ways to be inspired here... I went with "graphic look", colors and birds!

The stamp I used is a Tim Holtz stamp and in addition to that I've only used textured papers and a card base. Super simple card... But I do like the look anyway.

I hope you'll head on over to our challenge blog to see what other DT members and our super talented guest designer TaeEun have made for your inspiration. I know you'll love what you see! After that... Take TIME OUT, craft, and join us! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational Challenges: a word prompt "glow". There's fabulous cards from our DT and very, very talented guest designer Hannelie for your inspiration in the challenge blog, don't miss them, click here!

My first idea of glowing things was stars and I remembered this Stampendous angel stamp that I have and when you think about it, angels kind of glow too, right? :) So I chose to use this cute stamp, colored it with my Copics and made a simple card with some patterned paper, doily, rhinestones and the stamped, colored, image. I also used some Wink of Stella for the stars and wings to make the image even more "glowy".  I hope you like what I made and want to join us at Inkspirational Challenges! Happy crafting!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT where we are inspired by words :

Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile' (William Cullum Bryant)

You could be inspired by the whole sentiment or just choose one word like Autumn or Smile. I can't wait to see what you come up with! If you need some inspiration, check what our DT members and talented guest designer Glenda have made for you. Glenda shows some fabulous skills in her card, don't miss it!

I've created my card with a STAMPlorations stencil, STAMPlorations sentiment stamps and Distress Inks. I was mainly inspired by the word Autumn and decided to go for leaves in autumn colors. Very simple! I do like the blended look of the colors. I hope you do to! Thanks for popping by and see you at TIME OUT!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational: a very fun, autumnal photo inspiration. Lots of directions to go here... The colors, the couple, the dog, the leaves... I decided to be inspired of the leaves and the overall autumnal feel of the photo which I tried to capture in the colors I used. My mum asked for a blingy birthday card with lots of details for her friend and I hope my card covers her wishes... There's quite a lot of dimension in this card: first of all the the dry embossed bg and then the round, raised center panel (I used fun foam to lift if from the card base) and the die cut, golden leaf is also raised with 3d dots. I've also done some stenciling for the panel. I think this card is a bit busy... But not too bad. ;) I've been having a huuuuge crafter's block lately and this card I really enjoyed making so that's something, right? I was reading an old issue of The Card Maker and there was an article about some crafter (the name escapes me now) and she wanted to send greetings to all readers that we shouldn't worry too much about the design of the cards we make or some faults that we are not too happy with -the recipient of the card will anyway be pleased to get a hand-made card. This is something I'll try to keep in mind from now on. :)

Our guest designer this time is Jen aka Magic Flying Boots and I absolutely adore her card -it really reflects the inspiration picture! The regular DT members of Inkspirational have done amazing job as always as well so don't forget to visit everyone and leave some love. I hope to see you joining us!

TIME OUT Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT. We are CASEing the fabulous Tracey from In My Creative Opinion. This is her card:

Stunning, right? I love Tracey's card but have suffered from massive crafter's block lately... That's why you didn't see a DT card from me last week. This week I was determined to make a reminder card and did get a card done yesterday -unfortunately I'm not too happy about the results. It's a combination of two failed cards that I in the end made as one (weird) card. :) I do love white embossing on vellum and the sponged strip on the textured base card though! :) Here's my card:

The flower stamps and dies I used come from Stamping Up and I've got them as a gift from my good friend Sandie. Thanks hon!

I hope to see you playing along at TIME OUT. There's plenty of inspiration from our DT members and guest designer Stempelfrida in the blog. Don't miss their cards!

Congratulations Shery!

Hi friends!
Shery, the owner and designer of STAMPlorations has recently become a new Mum of cute, cute baby Catherine! We are celebrating this happy event at TIME OUT Challenges where we are sharing some baby cards we've made for our DT buddy Shery. If you'd like to join in the celebrations you could also make a baby card for Shery and link it up to STAMPlorations blog here : the STAMPlorations DT girls are throwing a surprise blog hop for Shery.

In my card I've used STAMplorations stamps, patterned paper and some lace and ribbon as embellies. I thought lace and ribbon would work lovely in a baby card and although the look of this is a bit "super traditional" it's quite cute too. :) Hope you like! Please head on over to TIME OUT Challenges and have a look what the other DT girls have created for Shery... And then consider making a card for her yourself! Have a fun week and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges

"Take some TIME OUT to Make Your Mark"

We want you to use markers, pencils or other coloring mediums in your project. I hope to see you joining us! We have a sponsor this time too: Uniko Studios. You could win a 15 £ voucher!

We have two new DT members joining us today: Jill and Joyce. I hope you visit these ladies and leave them some blogland love! Our guest designer this time is my good friend and THE coloring queen: Marika. I'm sure you'll love her cute card!

I used an old PTI stamp that I've actually NEVER used before... I'm happy it finally made it's way to a card. My coloring is done with Copics and I've also used clear Wink of Stella pen on top of the images. Hope you like!

Thanks for popping by and see you at TIME OUT!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi guys!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational. This time I've got the honor to choose the theme of the challenge and I've chosen One Layer Cards. I hope you'll enjoy the challenge this fortnight!

In my card I've used new stamps by My Favorite Things. I've inked the solid stamp with two shades of Memento and stamped the outline stamp on top with black ink. There's also white gel pen in the flowers. Not my best masking, inking and stamping, but I do like the idea!

Now I hope you'll visit Inkspirational and have a look at the projects my DT friends have created for your inspiration. Our guest designer this time is Ellie. I hope you'll pop by her blog too and leave some love! Have a fun weekend!

Birthday Card in Tropical Colors

Hi friends!
Here's a quick card I made for my Mum using the sketch from Make The Day Special Sketch Challenge. I've die cut a Altenew Hennah flower and some Altenew Hennah leaves and sponged them with memento inks. Then I've heat embossed the corresponding stamped images on top. This is a technique I've seen the fabulous Donna Mikasa use and I think it looks very pretty! I've used patterned paper, rhinestones and a Finnish sentiment stamp in this card also -it's a bit busy to my eyes but I know Mum likes "a lot of things" in her cards so I think she'll be happy with all the bling and different patterns.

Have a good weekend everyone and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT Challenges: it's a very cool photo inspiration! This photo has so much to go for inspiration... I can't wait to see what you'll come up with! Our guest designer is the fantastic Anni from Annikarten. She makes such cute and stylish CAS cards, I wish I had her eye! Do visit her blog and leave her some blogland love. Please visit our regular DT members also -everyone has made great cards as always!

In my card I've used stamps by Avocado Arts. I'd like to enter the August challenge at Handmade Bliss (anything goes) and the stamp set I used, Forever Yours by Avocado Arts, is available to purchase from Handmade Bliss Store here. My card is very simple: some patterned paper, colored card and white heat embossing for the image and sentiment. I was inspired by the colors and "robe" in the photo. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

CASEing Darnell

My card

Darnell's card

Hi friends!
Some time ago Darnell from djkardkreations posted the fantastic card you see above -click here for the direct link to the card in question. For her background Darnell used a "smooshing technique" -she smooshed different colors of ink onto her paper with a small acrylic block before stamping the floral image with black ink. I asked Darnell's permission to CASE her wonderful card and she said yes... So yesterday I took my smallest acrylic block and started smooshing! Well... My smooshing looked TERRIBLE! It was a disaster, believe me. :) I think I should have used pastel colors like Darnell did or use less pressure in my smooshing or something... But anyway, the end result was a mess. I ended up taking my mini ink-blending tool and smooshing 3 colors of ink with that tool instead of the acrylic block. I didn't blend the inks together but just smooshed ink circles onto my paper. The end result is quite pretty I think -I heat embossed the large Hero Arts flower stamp on top of the smooshed bg with black ink and glossy, transparent embossing powder so the card has a lot of shine and texture. The sentiment is Finnish for Best Wishes.

Thank you Darnell for the inspiration! You rocked your smooshed bg! :)

I'd like to enter:

CAS Card with Masking, Sponging and Stamping.

Hi friends!
I'm here to share a card I made for a couple of challenges. It's a simple CAS card created with masking, sponging and basic stamping. My sketch comes from CAS Colours and Sketches and masking is required in a CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers. I'd also like to join the Anything Goes challenge at Handmade Bliss. I've used Avocado Arts Hello Spring Stamp Set, click here for purchasing it from Handmade Bliss. The photo of my card looks a bit wonky but the last time I checked, all the corners were straight! :) Hope you like! :)

Lines!

PopUp_logofinalV3

Hi friends!
There's a very cool challenge "POP up" challenge at The Daily Marker blog along with inspirational videos on how to add lines to your card making and incorporate coloring too. Click here for the direct link to the challenge post. I'd also like to enter the masking challenge at Happy Little Stampers (click here for the challenge): my masking is really basic -I just masked off the top half of my card but I hope this qualifies anyway!

I've used line stamps from PTI and a STAMPlorations sentiment stamp in my card. I colored the spaces between the lines with my Copics -no shading this time. I decided to use a monochromatic color palette. I really like the graphic look of this and am grateful for these inspiring challenges! I had fun!
