Happy Day

Hi friends!

I'm sharing a card I made for a couple of challenges in mind.

Crafty Individuals has a Face Value Challenge. It's just closing but I'm happy I had time to make a card with this gorgeous Crafty Individuals lady! I created a fun headpiece for her using a Penny Black die (this is actually a leaf) and some sequins and rhinestones. I colored the pretty lady with Copics and added Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the background. 

Mod Squad Challenge is Anything Goes with dies  so I'll enter this simple CAS card there too. The sponsor is OneHappyCut.com -they have awesome dies, wish me luck! :)

Saying Thanks with Flowers

Just a quick post to share a simple CAS card I made for a couple of challenges. So nice to have summer holiday and time to craft just for fun!

The flower stamp, colored with Copics and white gel pen, comes from Hero Arts. I added just some silver card and a piece of ribbon to embellish the card. Super simple!

Hi friends!

I made this card in retroish colors yesterday following the sketch from Handmade Bliss. I tried to make a sort of a CAS version of the sketch. The stamps I used are Hennah Flowers by Altenew -one of my favorite ever stamp sets! The center flower is popped up with 3d stickers for dimension. My coloring is done with Copics. Christmas in July...

Hi friends!

Here's a simple Christmas card I made with cute angels from Stampendous. I've colored them with Copics and added white details with gel pen. I also added shine to the stars, wings and " the caps" the angels are wearing. This card turned out quite cute I think -I do regret I didn't heat emboss the sentiment with gold for example, it looks a bit plain just stamped! New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!

The next fortnight we have a "CASE with your own twist challenge" at TIME OUT Challenges. We are CASEing a fun, cute card by Alice from Alice's Little Wonderland. My CASE card, with the bambi, is the first card of this post and the second card with the cactus is Alice's. 

I was inspired by the cutesy style of Alice's card, the layout and Copic coloring. For my twist I changed up the color palette and the theme of the card -my Finnish sentiment says "Summer Fun". The stamps and dies come from Lawn Fawn. It says "Smile" in the speech bubble, it doesn't show too well in the photo!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm fashionably about half an hour late with my DT card for Inkspirational but here it is! :) Our challenge this time is a color challenge, Anything Goes With Kraft. I always love white with kraft so I went to that direction... But decided to add pops of color with enamel dots. The white heat embossed leaf stamp comes from Papertrey Ink. I hope you like my card! Please have a look what our DT members and talented guest designer Bobby have made for the challenge here. In my card I've used a beautiful flower/paisley pattern stamp by B Line Designs. I've used a lot of different Copics for coloring my stamped design but I tried to match the colors so that the overall look wouldn't be super busy. I quite like the somewhat oriental look I achieved here!

Sadly this is my last DT project for STAMplorations. I've been in the design team since December 2013 (if I remember correct!) and now is time for me to move on... New Challenge at Inkspirational!

My good friend Sandie, a fellow team member at Inkspirational has chosen this theme for the next challenge: Grunge! Sandie makes amazing grunge CAS cards but for me, grunge is very terrifying... I've used simple masking, sponging and stamping techniques in creating my card. I quite like how this turned out -these stamps are great for masculine cards too if you pick manly colors -this one could be "unisex" I think! :)

New Challenge at STAMPlorations!

It's time for a new month long theme challenge at STAMPlorations. Click here for the challenge post in our blog! The theme is "Stamps and Distressing" and I'm sure you'll love to look at the fun projects the design team members and guest designers Melissa and Lee Ann created! If you'd like to guest design for STAMPlorations you know what to do: play along in our challenges and you could be chosen!

In my card I've used image stamps from Trendy Leaves and sentiment stamp from VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows. I've stamped the leaves with several shades of Memento Inks. The card base was given a worn, distressed look with sponging inks on it. I added a piece of design paper and some twine and that's it for this card! Very simple! :) The weather in Finland has been quite cold all summer so I guess that's why I was drawn to these fall-like colors. ;) Hope you like and see you at STAMPlorations!
