Joulua Hullun Lailla/ Crafting For Chrismas Like A Crazy Woman

Heippa! Olen ollut tänään vapaalla ja kun mies lähti aamulla töihin, tein 5 korttia... Huh huh. Vielä on muutama joulukortti tulossa, pari leimakuvaa odottaa valmiina kortteihin pääsyä. Tässä nyt näytille muutama kortti joilla koettelen onneani haasteissakin. Kuvat ovat vähän pimeitä, pahoittelut!

Hi! I've had a free morning and when hubby left to work, I made 5 Christmas cards... Whew! Still some to make, I've got a couple of colored images ready waiting. Here are some of the cards from today, I'll try my luck in some challenges with them. The pictures are a bit dark, sorry about that!

Eka enkeli. :) Kuva on kirpputorilta, aika vähillä koristeilla mennään, ääriviivatarrat, helmet ja nauha saivat riittää.

First this sweet little angel. The image is from a flee market and I didn't embellish too much, just some pearls, ribbon and a poinsettia out of outline-stickers.

Tässä kortissa olen hyödyntänyt BoBunnyn ihanaa joulupaperia ja Panduron lumihiutaleleimasinta, jolla leimasin hopeisia lumihiutaleita taustalle. Lisänä vain ääriviivatarra-tähtiä.

In this card I've used the wonderful Christmas paper from BoBunny. I stamped Panduro snowflakes to the background with silver ink and added some outline stickers for decoration.

Ja viimeinen kortti uunista ulos! BoBunnyn paperilla yhä, ja ääriviivatarratkin mukana meiningeissä... Ne on itse asiassa ihan kivoja, kun liimaa paperille ja leikkaa irti. :)

Pastelli Joulukortti/ Christmas Card In Pastel Tones

Tein tämän talvisen kortin CASE this Sketch! haasteblogin luonnoksen mukaan. Kuvausolosuhteet näin keskiyön hetkillä olivat vähän niin ja näin... Päädyin kuvaamaan korttini ylhäältäpäin ja koitin parhaani mukaan olla varjostamatta korttia -käytännössä siis kurottelin metrin päästä hyvin älykkään  näköisesti... Turkoosi helmiäiskartonki sai vanhan roosan väriset kehykset ja Panduron lumihiutaleet enbossasin valkoisella jauheella, jossa on pientä hopeista hilettä mukana. Lumihiutaleiden keskustoihin liimasin puolihelmet. Kortista tuli mielestäni niin sievä, etten uskaltanut edes tekstiä enää laittaa pilaamaan...Jonkun makuun ehkä turhan yksinkertainen look... Toivottavasti tykkäät. :) Eipä kummempaa tällä kertaa -oletko muuten bongannut arvontani? Osallistuaksesi klikkaa ylhäällä oikealla olevaa kuvaa. Mukavaa toista adventtia!

The layout of this card is inspired by the sketch at CASE this Sketch!. I'm sorry for the poor photo -the circumstances for taking pictures at midnight without proper light boxes ect. are not the best... I ended up photographing from above and tried my best not to shade the card with myself -this meant reaching with my arm from 1 meter away from the card... Really professional. :) Anyway, I embossed the Panduro snowflakes with shimmering white embossing powder on aqua colored pearl card. I matted on another card, the tone is something like "vintage rose". I added some pearls to the centers of the snowflakes and was already so pleased with the look that I didn't even want to add any sentiment! I hope you don't find this too simple.

Näiden simppelien joulukorttien teko oli hauskaa! Tiimarista hommatut joulupallo-raaputuskuvat olivat mielestäni kauniita ja sopivat näihin kortteihin kivasti. Make Your Mark Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Addicted to Stamps and More haastaa nyt tussien käyttöön! Tussien merkillä ei ole väliä, mutta jonkun sortin väritystä pitäisi työstäsi löytyä. :) All That Scraps toimii haasteen sponsorina. Tsekkaile ATSM:n sivuilta lisätiedot, osallistumis-ohjeet ja muiden DT-ladyjen kauniit kauniit kortit!

Minä värittelin uuden Penny Black-settini kukkaset Copiceilla. Leikkasin 5x7-korttipohjan kahtia ja napsuttelin reunat Fiskarsin leikkurilla, sitten liimasin kannen punaisenkirjavalle kartongille koristekuvion korostamiseksi. Jätin taustakartongin sen verran suuremmaksi, että sain nuutattua siihen "saranat" ja kiinnitin sen korttipohjan toiseen puoleen eli kortti aukeaa taas kuin normaali kaksiosainen korttipohja. Vähän taustapaperia lisäksi, parit helmet, siinä se! Kesäinen meininki täällä pakkasen keskellä. :) Nyt ei muuta kuin tussit esille ja värittelemään, kiva nähdä, mitä kaikkea keksitte!

I used Copics to color in a stamped image from my new Penny Black- flower stamp set. To create the cover I cut a 5x7 card base to half and punched the decorative corners and borders with my Fiskars punch. I then glued the cover to red-colored cardstock to show off the decorative design better. I left the red cardstock a bit bigger so that I could score a  "hinge" and attach it to the back cover of the card base- now it opens like a normal card again. Some designer paper and pearls and I announced it ready! :) I look forward seeing what you'll create with your markers.  Happy crafting! 

"Lahjakortteja" / Cards With Gifts

Huomenta! Yllä oleva kortti on DT-korttini Koukussa kortteihin- haasteeseen, jossa korttiin piti yhdistää lahja. Minun lahjani on tuo huovasta tehty lumihiutalekoriste, sen saa helposti kortista irti ja kortin saaja voi ripustaa sen joulukuuseensa tai mihin haluaakaan. :) Paperit kortissa ovat Panduron joulupaperikosta ja ääriviivatarrat väritin punaisella Copic-tussilla. Tein toisenkin kortin samaan tyyliin: alla oleva violetti peurakortti osallistuu muutamaan haasteeseen, joissa ei saanut tällä kertaa käyttää lainkaan perinteisiä jouluvärejä. Nuo paperit olen jostain saanut ilmaiseksi, ihan kivan moderneja. Tällä kertaa sävytin ääriviivatarraa violetilla Copicilla. Laskeskelin tuossa, että vielä kymmenisen joulukorttia pitäisi tehdä... Huoh. Tiistaiterveiset teille kaikille täältä pakkasen keskeltä -23 on mittarissa tällä hetkellä. :)

Good morning! Above is my DT-card for Finnish Hooked on Cards Challenge, in this week's challenge you are supposed to incorporate a gift to your card. My gift is the felt-snowflake -the recipient of the card can easily remove it and hang it to the Christmas tree -or where ever. :) The papers are from Panduro's Christmas pack. I colored the outline sticker with a red Copic to match the colors. 

I made another card with the same idea: with this lilac deer card I'd like to take part in a couple of challengers where they don't want to see traditional Christmas. I like these papers, they have a modern feel to them. I've got them for free but can't remember from where. This time I colored my stickers (they say Christmas, Christmas, Christmas...) with a lilac Copic. I just counted that I still need to make about 10 Christmas cards... Ugh.

Pitsinen CAS-kortti/ CAS with lace images

ja alkuun tervetuloa-hihkahdukset uusille lukijoilleni!
Tänään olen taas CAS-linjalla, näemmä  CAS ja Vintage ovat nykyisin suosikkityylini... Ensi viikolle ennustan väritettyjä leimakuvakortteja, aikaa on tuolloin hieman enemmän -olen onnettoman hidas värittäjä. Tässä kortissa käytin My Mind's Eyen ihanaa leimasinsettiä, ruskeat kuviot on leimattu perinteisesti, valkoinen kuvio on embossattu. Embossaus on tässä taloudessa vähän tulenarkaa puuhaa, teen sen nimittäin leivänpaahtimella... Toistaiseksi tulipaloilta on vältytty. :) Tein korttini hauskaan uuteen haasteblogiin CAS- Colours and Sketches jossa tarjotaan sekä kortin värikombinaatio, että luonnos. Tosi helppoa ja inspiroivaa! Toivottavasti korttini hyväksytään, sävyt saattavat olla hiukan turhan kaukana ehdotetuista... Kiva oli kuitenkin askarrella! Hauskaa viikon alkua sinulle ja kiitos kun piipahdit blogissani!

I was on a CAS-mood -it seems that CAS and Vintage are my favourite looks at the moment. I predict colored in stamped images for next week though -I have more time to craft then and I'm probably the slowest "in-colorer" :) in the world. 

I made this card for a new fun challenge blog CAS -Colours and Sketches. They provide both the color scheme and the sketch of the card -so inspiring and easy! I hope my card is excepted for the challenge since my "cherry cobbler" tone is quite a lot in the pink side... The "pumpkin pie" tone is framing the small squares, I guess you see it better if you click the image larger. The stamp set I used is from My Mind's Eye and I stamped the brown images traditionally and embossed the white one. Luckily, I didn't burn the house down -I emboss with our bread toaster and I'm not quite sure how safe it is! :) That's it from me today, thanks for visiting me, have a great week!

Tällaisen vintagekortin lähetin kortteilututtava Minnalle Koukussa kortteihin- sivuston CASE-vaihtoringissä. Ringissä lähetettiin kortti kaverille, joka tekee sitten korttinsa toisen innoittamana. Oli ihan mielenkiintoista miettiä, millaisen kortin haluaa lähettää: vintage tuntui itselle läheiseltä tyyliltä ja tuota paperia olin säästellyt jo kauan, niin ihanat värit siinä oli... Koristeina halusin käyttää suosikkijuttujani, itse leikattuja kukkasia, puolihelmiä ja söpöjä nauhoja. Tällainen tuotos tällä kertaa! Osallistun muutamiin haasteisiin, löydät listan käännöksen lopusta. Oikein rentouttavaa viikonloppua kaikille ja juhlavaa joulukuuta! :)

This is a vintage card I made for my crafting friend Minna in a CASE-ring at Hooked on Cards. In the ring we sent cards for other group members as inspiration and then got to see what they made after being (hopefully!) inspired. It was fun to think what to send: vintage felt like a good style and the paper I had been saving for special occasion...
